What kind of work is this?

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect (Infrastructure) to lead the design and optimization of our cloud infrastructure and runtime environments, ensuring high performance and reliability. If you have expertise in cloud platforms, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code, along with a knack for solving complex technical challenges, we’d love to hear from you.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cutting-edge technologies, drive automation, and optimize cloud operations. You and the team will be supporting regional Operations teams in their customer-facing roles, but also multiple application development teams in ensuring our solutions are well-fitted to the platform. This role is based in Global Operations under Head of Cloud, which is a new team just being ramped up. So it's the ideal moment to jump on board and place your mark on our future!

We offer flexibility in job location, with offices in Helsinki and Oulu, as well as options for hybrid or remote work. Please note that we do not provide relocation services for this position.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Architect and implement cloud-based infrastructure solutions
• Develop and optimize runtime environments to support application performance, scalability, and reliability
• Define and enforce cloud governance policies, security standards, and cost optimization strategies
• Assess and recommend emerging cloud technologies and services to improve efficiency and innovation
• Collaborate with stakeholders based in Finland, California and New Jersey

What do you expect from me?

We're looking for a skilled architect who brings a strong mix of technical expertise and strategic vision. Below are the key qualifications and experiences that will help you succeed in this role:

• Solid expertise in Azure
• Strong expertise in infrastructure concepts: networking, storage, virtualization, and computing.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of runtime environments and application hosting frameworks
• Business-oriented mindset

This is an international role with English as a working language.

What does the recruitment process look like?

We want to ensure the recruitment process is clear and transparent for you. If you proceed in the process, here’s how it will look based on our current plan:

Initial Interviews

We’ll begin with initial discussions via Teams, scheduled for weeks 5 and 6, 2025. These discussions provide an opportunity for you to learn more about the role and for us to exchange information and questions. If selected for an interview, we will reach out to schedule a suitable time.

In-Depth Discussions

If selected to move forward, you’ll participate in more detailed discussions involving both technical experts and HR. These are planned for weeks 7 and 8. We’ll dive deeper into the role, your expertise, and how we can collaborate.

Final Interviews

The final stage will be a one-on-one discussion with senior decision-makers. This is tentatively scheduled for weeks 8 and 9. After this, we’ll verify references and move to contract negotiations.

We’ll provide detailed updates as the process progresses and inform you of any changes to the timeline or structure. We aim to make the experience as smooth and clear as possible.
