What kind of work is this?

We’re looking for a skilled Senior Application Infrastructure Engineer specializing in Kubernetes and Azure. In this role, your primary focus is designing, building, and automating resilient cloud infrastructure platforms that support scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native applications. You will collaborate closely with CloudOps, architects, and developers to ensure infrastructure solutions align seamlessly with application requirements and business needs.

The role is part of our SaaS Platform Engineering team, with the internal title of Senior SaaS Platform Engineer. We offer flexibility in job location, with offices in Helsinki and Oulu, as well as hybrid or remote work options. However, this role requires visits to our Oulu office at least every other month. Please note that we do not provide relocation services for this position.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Architect, implement, and maintain robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions with Terraform.
• Design and optimize the Kubernetes-based cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Proactively manage cloud platform reliability through effective monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate closely with development and CloudOps teams, ensuring infrastructure supports the continuous delivery and efficient operation of applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior infrastructure and platform engineers.

What do you expect from me?

We're looking for an experienced professional with both deep technical expertise and a strategic mindset. Below are the key qualifications and experiences that will help you succeed in this role:

• Deep expertise in infrastructure automation, Kubernetes, and Azure cloud platform.
• Proven track record designing and managing scalable, secure cloud-native infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure best practices, networking, security, and reliability engineering.
• Experience working closely with application development teams, ideally in regulated environments such as healthcare.
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices, compliance requirements, and governance
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams

Final Interview:

The final stage will be a one-on-one discussion, typically with senior decision-makers. After this, we’ll verify references and move to contract negotiations.
