What kind of work is this?  

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Test Engineer with test automation experience. This is a fixed-term position (maternity leave substitute) until the end of November 2025, with a start date as soon as possible. 

In your work, you will be testing and controlling the quality of the next generation eyecare software solutions together with a team of dedicated professionals. As a Test Engineer, you would work with modern web technologies and a new state-of-the-art clinical eye disease screening system. 

You would work inside a product scrum team with Software Developers and Test Engineer. A cross-functional team is around you to ensure you can succeed in your work. Scrum Masters, Software Developers, Product Owners, Product and Operations teams, and of course other Software Testers are always happy to help you. Daily meets, retrospectives, grooming, planning, and other workshops are done together. 

The position is located in Oulu, offering the flexibility of a hybrid work model. However, due to the nature of the work, we expect you to be able to work on-site at least 3 days a week. 

Your daily tasks could for example consist of:  

• Collaborating within your product team to understand the product requirements to define, write and update test cases related to them 
• Developing test automation (Robot framework)
• Running and maintaining automated test cases  
• Issue testing and release verification testing (both manual and automated)  
• Planning with other team members

What do you expect from me?  

We're looking for someone with a curious mindset and a willingness to take on challenges. You're open to experimenting and always strive to improve. To succeed in this role, you bring the following skills and qualifications: 

• Web application testing, both front-end and API  
• Test planning and documentation 
• Test case management and issue testing  
• Test automation frameworks (preferably Robot Framework with some Python knowledge) 
• Understanding of Azure fundamentals 
• English proficiency, as our official company language is English 
• Ability to handle large systems and to dive deeper on some
