We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer (Infrastructure) to support and optimize our cloud infrastructure and runtime environments, by focusing on:

If you have expertise in cloud platforms, especially in Azure Cloud, landing zones management, containerization managed solutions like AKS, Azure Devops, monitoring solutions, incident management and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), along with a knack for solving complex technical challenges, we’d love to hear from you.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cutting-edge technologies, drive automation, and optimize cloud operations. You and the team will be supporting regional Operations teams in their customer-facing roles, but also multiple application development teams in ensuring our solutions are well-fitted to the platform. 

This role is based in Global Operations under Head of Cloud, which is a new team just being ramped up. So, it's the ideal moment to jump on board and place your mark on our future!

We offer flexibility in job location, with offices in Helsinki and Oulu, as well as options for hybrid or remote work (Finland).

Your main responsibilities are:

• Lead the enforcement of best practices based on Azure Well-Architected Framework pillars and CAF framework
• Detect, Identify and support capacity planning procedures
• Reduce manual work (toil) by automated procedures
• Support runtime environments to improve application performance, scalability, reliability and security following ISO 27001 standards
• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance to ensure high availability and responsiveness
• Implement and maintain the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) by following best practices
• Troubleshoot and perform incident resolution efforts for cloud infrastructure-related issues and participate in on-call rotation
• Lead the disaster recovery scenarios regularly and contribute with improvements
• Implement FinOps practices and strategy
• Collaborate with stakeholders based in Finland, California and New Jersey

What do you expect from me?

We're looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer who brings a strong mix of technical expertise and high-quality standards. Below are the key qualifications and experiences that will help you succeed in this role:

• Solid expertise in Azure Cloud
• Strong expertise in infrastructure concepts: networking (e.g., VNET, VPN, DNS), storage, virtualization, and computing resources.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and package managers (e.g Helm Charts).
• Knowledge of runtime environments and application hosting frameworks
• Proficiency in Azure Devops (e.g Pipeline as code)
• Experience with Azure Observability tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Managed Grafana & Prometheus)
• Experience with incident resolutions practices and tools (e.g Service Now, PagerDuty, OpsGenie)

This is an international role with English as the working language.

What does the recruitment process look like?

Final Interview: The final stage will be a one-on-one discussion with senior decision-makers. After this, we’ll verify references and move on to contract negotiations.
