We are looking for Frontend / Full-stack Angular developers for Topcon Healthcare Solutions to design the next generation of remote eye care solutions. You don’t need to have a background in healthcare – all coders are welcome to apply!

Topcon Healthcare Solutions EMEA is part of Topcon Healthcare Corporation. We specialise in providing modern software solutions for eye care (e.g. optical stores, eye clinics). Our primary target is to offer the whole workflow from the clinical device connection to archiving and telemedicine. Our solutions have been designed in cooperation with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide excellent usability and performance. Our customers are optical retailers, clinics and hospitals.

What kind of work is this?

As a Frontend / Full Stack Developer, you will have a valued and important role in designing the next generation of remote healthcare solutions. 

Depending on your own interests and skills, you can work with our Eyecare Teletealth Platform RDx or automated refraction system SightPilot. Teams are free to develop their own processes. You have the freedom to work independently but also receive support from a team of cross-functional professionals.

Scrum masters, software testers, product owners, other developers, and product and operations teams are always happy to help you. Daily meets, retrospectives, grooming, planning and other workshops are done together with others. Whereas your closest colleagues are working at our Oulu site, you might also be co-working with people at our other premises at Helsinki and New Jersey and as well in Japan and other countries.

Our developer team is located in the centre of Oulu in our modern and recently renovated office. Instead of working in an open-plan office, concentration is supported by smaller team rooms for six people. You can also work remotely on a regular basis, and for a suitable candidate it's also possible to work remotely full-time from Tampere or Helsinki.

What do you expect from me?

Both junior and senior coders are welcome to apply for the position. For all teams, we are looking for people from different backgrounds with varying levels of experience.

You don’t necessarily need to have a background in healthcare. We offer you the possibility to deepen your knowledge with training held by our in-house eye care professionals.

Good teamwork skills are useful in this role, because you will collaborate a lot with your colleagues. As our official company language is English, we expect you to have good English skills. 

We are very excited if you have knowledge of the technologies below. You do not need to be fully skilled in all of the following skills to apply, as you can learn some of them along the way. The most important thing is that you want to learn more.
